Cole Roofing Adds Butler Building Segment Business

November 15, 2015

Cole Roofing has reached an agreement with Butler Manufacturing to become a preferred solutions provider for Reroof and Retrofit roof systems.

Butler manufacturing has been around for more than 100 years supplying quality materials, innovative procedures and roof/building system engineering. It uses a Retrofit metal over metal system which is the most cost efficient way to eliminate leaks from any old metal roofing. This system provides a continuous 360 degree seam up the panel eliminating screw penetrations throughout the field of the roof.

There are three different types of profiles you can choose from:

  • Low profile-bringing the roof approximately 1.5” above decking allowing thinner insulation to an already insulated building.
  • High profile- bringing the roof greater than 3” above the decking, allowing for thicker insulation on a building that may need more insulation.
  • Slope build-up framing system.

Butler offers reroofing options that enable you to address potentially devastating roof problems with an affordable, long-term solution.

And now, Cole Roofing, also with 100 years of roofing experience, is your preferred solutions provider

Cole Roofing Service Department News:

May 5th, 2016

Over the past 10 years, our Service Department has grown from borrowing production crews to do any of its work, to having six dedicated service trucks and 12 men in the field, helping our customers. When the volume of work demands, we can then borrow additional manpower from our production side of the business. When we need to borrow production men, we know that the men are already experienced roofers and that they know the Cole Way!

The Service Department has recently added another Sales/Estimator to the team, to help keep enough work coming in, to keep the growing number of service department crews busy all through the year. Cole Roofing will never recommend work that you do not need done. We believe that honesty will always get you more work in the long run. When your customers trust you, they will come back when they need something else done.

Just to remind you of all the kinds of work our Service Department does, we regularly do preventive maintenance, general repairs, small re-roofs, leak investigations and repairs, roof inspections, and tenant improvement work. We can give you a fixed price ahead of time, or we can do the work on a time and material basis. We also have a fully equipped sheet metal shop, and can fabricate gutters, down spouts, and most types of metal related to roofing work.

If you need anything related to roofing service or repair, please feel free to call us.

Pfister Energy Announces completion of Solar energy installation at Grace Community Church

October 12, 2015

[Howard County, Maryland] –Pfister Energy is proud to announce the installation of a 354kW solar photovoltaic array for Grace Community Church in Maple Lawn, Maryland.

The Solar array will provide Grace Community Church (GCC), an offset of more than 65% of its energy needs.  The system is designed to generate on-site power just for the impressive GCC facility.  GCC is now Howard County’s largest renewable energy system that is designed to reduce on-site energy consumption.

Under the direction of Pfister Energy of Baltimore, the solar array installation was completed this past spring.  Blair Nordvedt, GCC’s Facility Manager, talks about the project process:

“In 2013 Grace started looking into solar photovoltaic power for the church building. Our facility is nine years old and has a large south facing, non-shaded metal roof. We met Pfister Energy at a Baltimore buildings expo. They had recently completed work for another non-profit facility with a similar roof structure. That experience, and their history of working with large commercial roof projects, seemed to set them up particularly well for working with our facility.”

“We performed extensive financial analysis and concluded that the project was well suited for significant to produce long term electric utility savings. GCC is a church dependent on the generous giving by our congregation. We want to be the best stewards of those offerings that we can possibly be. This project supports having more of our donations go to missions, children’s programs or other ministries instead of utility costs for our buildings.”

We feel that solar power will be a cleaner and more sustainable source of energy as we take care of our planet.”

The Grace Community Church project is estimated to save equivalently each year:

  • 10,000 trees
  • 400 tons of Carbon Dioxide emissions
  • 44,000 gallons of gasoline.

Pfister Energy’s long history of providing commercial customers a combination of experience, commitment and integrity was essential in the evolution of the project from concept to completion.  It has been a great privilege to build a better foundation for Grace Community church and their members for many years to come.
