  • Project Description
    • Howard County’s newest school consisted of multi-story, steel and block construction with metal deck. The project featured an Elevate built up roofing system with ultra-white cap sheet installed in hot asphalt over a multi-layer insulation system and two large A-frame Kalwall translucent panel skylights on the 3-story roof section. The roof system also included multiple Solatube skylights with daylight tubes down to ceiling height in the building to provide natural lighting in multiple rooms. Project also featured over 35,000 sf of Centria 3” insulated Formawall panels in two separate colors with multiple reveal sizes to meet the architects design intent. The insulated wall panel system also included integrated Kalwall wall lights and integrated louvers.The project was constructed during the height of the supply chain crisis.  Through our close relationships with our trade partners, we were able to secure material in a timely manner to maintain the construction schedule for the owner and construction manager.

    • A NEW EYE-CATCHING WALL THAT FACES THE MAIN ROAD – (EAST JOPPA ROAD). A RENOVATION PROJECT TO THE EXTERIOR WALL AT STANLEY BLACK AND DECKER. THE PROJECT FEATURES BRIGHT YELLOW OMEGA LITE PANELS AND BLACK PREFFORATED PANELS THAT GAVE THE STRUCTURE A BRAND-NEW MODERN LOOK.

Full Project Description

  • Challenges and how they were overcome?
    • This was an historic building, Firehouse built in the year 1879.
    • Tower structure was deteriorating, damaged brick, fear of tower collapsing into street or neighboring building. The slate roof was damaged, tower roof area was leaking.
  • Final result?
    • ETC Engineering and C.P.R supported the structure till framing, brick, trim, and other parts could be re-constructed. Reliable scaffold was setup the front of the building and around perimeter of the clock tower.

  • Power washed existing roof using Gaco Wash, Applied Gaco Patch to all seams and fasteners, Applied Gaco S4200 white silicone coating over existing metal panels

Full Project Description

The Lyric was built in 1894 (Originally called The Music Hall). The project featured a restoration with a silicone roof coating on the main metal roof system. The challenge was roof system was a very steep pitch so, trying to apply roof coating was tricky, pre planning and adjustments were made during project that made installing the coating go smoother. Roof system was completed and passed inspection for a 20 year warranty from the manufacture.
