Jim Layman Named Vice President of Cole Roofing

June 3, 2015

Cole Roofing Company has named Jim Layman to the position of Vice-President of Construction.

Jim has been with Cole Roofing for nearly 20 years. His time with Cole began as a summer job, working in the yard and warehouse. He worked 3 to 4 days a week throughout college both on the roof and in the yard. The HOT summers were spent on the roof! Jim moved into the office in 2001 and has held various positions since including Project Manager, Operations Manager, Safety Director, and Fleet Manager.

Just some of the many jobs he has completed include: Under Armour – Joy and Cascade Renovations, Union Wharf, City Garage, and multiple projects for both Johns Hopkins and University of MD Medical Center.

Jim’s new responsibilities include oversight of all phases and departments involved in the execution of our construction contracts including Project Managers, Operations Managers, and Field Superintendents.

“As Vice President of Construction for Cole Roofing I look forward to reestablishing and fine tuning the processes and procedures that have made us the oldest and preferred commercial roofing company in Baltimore. I believe there are opportunities for better efficiency by our field superintendents and crews through more accurate labor tracking and job scheduling. I also plan to stay committed to the growth of our Wall Panel division.”
